Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez Villar is a general medicine physician dedicated to providing patient-centered care. He studied at IPVCE of Matanzas and earned his medical degree from the Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de Matanzas. Inspired by medicine’s ability to challenge and serve, Dr. Alvarez views his career as both a profession and a calling. He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of medicine, staying current with advances, and applying that knowledge to provide personalized, evidence-based care. Sonia Benitez Cedo is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in adult-gerontology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, GA. She also completed her residency at Celia Sanchez Hospital in Cuba. Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Sonia pursued a career in medicine with the goal of making a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives. As a provider, she actively listens, shows patience, compassion, and respect, and focuses on prevention to help patients maintain and improve their quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, and exploring new places.
