Dr. Berenice Colon is a primary care physician specializing in Family Medicine. She attended medical school at the University of Science, Arts and Technology and completed her internship at the Hospital Manati Medical Center in Puerto Rico. After witnessing first-hand the expertise of her grandfather’s medical team, who helped him beat the odds, Dr. Colon knew she was destined to be a doctor. “Being a doctor means you get to make a big difference in people's lives,” she said. “Every patient you meet adds a new chapter to your life story. You get to be part of their stories, and they become part of yours.” Dr. Colon received the President’s Call to Service Award in 2017 for her extraordinary assistance during Hurricane María and her community volunteer contributions, totaling 4,000 hours. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, dancing, traveling, and baking traditional Puerto Rican desserts.

Dr. Patrycja Garces is a board-certified physician specializing in Family Medicine. She was born in Poland and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at South Nassau Communities Hospital in New York. She takes pride in being an advocate for patients, to help them live healthier and happier lives. In her spare time, Dr. Garces enjoys spending time with friends and family, going outdoors, and traveling the world. Dr. Garces thanks you for choosing VIPcare as your medical home. Dr. Berrios is a dedicated physician specializing in general medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and her medical degree from Iberoamerican University (UNIBE). Inspired by a lifelong fascination with science, Dr. Berrios chose a career in medicine to combine her love of learning with her desire to help others. She believes in treating the whole person, not just the condition, and focuses on building strong relationships through empathy, active listening, and clear communication. She is passionate about preventive care and works closely with patients to promote wellness through education, early detection, and healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Berrios is excited to be part of the Ocala community. She enjoys walking through downtown Ocala, visiting local parks, and exploring the area’s restaurants. Her favorites so far include China Lee Buffet and Old School Ice Cream. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, strength training, relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and visiting Disney parks.
