As we celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, it is the perfect time to recognize the incredible contributions women have made—and continue to make—in healthcare. From pioneering medical breakthroughs to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, women have been at the forefront of shaping the healthcare industry.
At VIPcare, we are proud to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary women who dedicate their lives to improving health outcomes, whether they are physicians, nurses, healthcare executives, or support staff. Their commitment to better health extends far beyond treatment—it is about building relationships, providing comfort, and leading with excellence.
Women Leading the Way at VIPcare
At VIPcare, we are fortunate to have strong, compassionate women at all levels of our organization—from the exam room to the executive office. These women embody our mission of better health and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients every day.
“I kind of fell backwards into healthcare,” said Emily Gallman, VIPcare vice president of national clinic operations. “I didn’t really start out saying, ‘I definitely want to pursue a career in healthcare.’ I knew I wanted to help people and I wanted to make the world around me better.”
Compassionate Providers Who Put Patients First
Our female physicians and medical professionals are dedicated to whole-person care, treating not just symptoms but the individual behind them. They take the time to listen, educate, and empower patients, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and supported in their health journey.
VIPcare women in healthcare don’t just provide treatment—they build lasting relationships with patients, making a real difference in their lives.
Female Leaders Driving Change in Healthcare
Women in executive roles at VIPcare are shaping the future of healthcare by leading with innovation, integrity, and empathy. They have had to break barriers, defying expectations, and overcoming obstacles to pave the way for progress in healthcare.
“As a woman in healthcare, one of my early challenges that I learned to overcome was being the only female executive in many rooms,” said Ann Miller, VIPcare vice president of market performance. “What I found was that proving and driving results was based on data-driven insights, and being able to influence others and build strong relationships ultimately led me to be able to make great decisions. I think that’s actually what built me into being a servant leader, which is the type of leader that I continue to be today.”
From developing patient-centered policies to ensuring the highest standards of care, these leaders are dedicated to creating a better healthcare experience for all.
They understand that healthcare is about more than just medicine—it’s about compassion, connection, and commitment to excellence. Their leadership ensures that VIPcare remains a place where patients receive the best care and providers feel empowered to make a difference.
The Power of Women in Healthcare
Women make up nearly 80 percent of the healthcare workforce, and their influence continues to grow at all levels. Their empathy, innovation, and leadership drive better patient outcomes, stronger communities, and a healthcare system that truly prioritizes people over profits.
“Advice that I would give young women who are aspiring to be in healthcare would be to really find your North Star and own it,” said Katie Ames, VIPcare executive director of national products. “Really be about your purpose. Lean in as far as you can and just make it happen, girl.”
At VIPcare, we are proud to support, uplift, and celebrate the women who make our mission of better health a reality. Their work is more than a profession—it’s a calling, and we are grateful for their impact on healthcare and the lives they touch every day.
To all the women in healthcare: Thank you for your compassion, leadership, and dedication to making a difference!
