April States is a dedicated family medicine provider who is passionate about helping her patients take an active role in their health and well-being. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and her graduate degree as a nurse practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. April’s passion for healthcare was inspired by watching her mother navigate multiple sclerosis. Through that experience, she witnessed firsthand the importance of empathy, patient advocacy, resilience, and adaptability. These lessons continue to shape the way she cares for her patients today. April especially enjoys proactively coaching her patients on disease management and seeing them put what they’ve learned into practice. She believes that education and encouragement can empower patients to make meaningful changes and feel more confident in managing their health. In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, and reading. She loves the warmth and community of Oklahoma and stays involved locally through the Chamber of Commerce.
