About Me
Dr. John Martin is a family medicine physician with more than 27 years of experience caring for patients and serving his community. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School before completing his residency at St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Martin was drawn to medicine by his passion for science and his desire to help people live healthier lives. His approach to care focuses on the whole person, with an emphasis on prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and nutrition. He believes many health conditions can be improved through meaningful changes to diet and daily habits and works with patients to find practical ways to make those changes. He also places a strong emphasis on preventive care, including cancer screenings and identifying chronic health conditions in their early stages. Building a strong relationship with his patients is an important part of Dr. Martin’s approach. He takes the time to learn about each patient’s background, interests, and goals so they feel welcome, heard, and comfortable in his care. Whenever possible, he strives to address health concerns in the office and help patients avoid unnecessary emergency room visits. In his free time, he enjoys trying different ethnic restaurants, traveling to local attractions and freshwater springs, fishing, and gardening. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family.
