About Me
Dr. Joseph Amato is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with 27 years of experience. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received his undergraduate degree in biology. He then moved to Mobile, where he attended medical school at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Amato then moved to Biloxi, MS, where he began his United States Air Force active duty and residency training at Keesler Air Force Base. After seven years of service, he settled back in Mobile. Dr. Amato chose to be an internist because he wanted a challenging and rewarding career and to help patients get control of their health in a meaningful way. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his daughter Sofia.
