About Me
Dr. Raul Ayala is an internal medicine physician with more than 37 years of clinical experience. He received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Ayala holds board certification in urgent care medicine and has extensive clinical experience in the management of diabetes mellitus, geriatric medicine, and complex chronic disease management. That lifelong calling has guided a career dedicated to service, including caring for patients in military and civilian healthcare systems. Over decades of practice, he has developed a patient-centered approach focused not only on treating disease but also on improving quality of life. He believes that medicine is both a science and a human relationship built on trust, communication, and compassion. His clinical style emphasizes careful listening, clear explanations, and collaborative decision-making. In his free time, Dr. Ayala enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly horseback riding, running, and sailing.
