Using Imaging to Guide Better Care

Whether it's to diagnose a condition, monitor progress, or rule something out, imaging gives us a full picture of your health.

Better Diagnostics Starts Here

From ultrasounds and EKGs to other non-invasive scans, VIPcare makes diagnostic imaging easy, comfortable, and convenient.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a great diagnostic imaging option for viewing organs and checking blood flow. It’s non-invasive and doesn’t use radiation, making it a safe option for monitoring and diagnosing a range of conditions.

What it is

Ultrasound is a safe, painless test that uses sound waves to create live pictures of the inside of your body, like your heart, liver, or uterus.

How we help

We offer in-office ultrasounds at most clinics to make your care convenient and connected. This allows us to quickly check for issues like heart problems or abdominal concerns.

EKG (Electrocardiogram)

Quick and effective, X-rays provide valuable information for diagnosing fractures, infections, and checking lung and chest health. They’re pain-free and allow for treatment to start immediately.

What it is

An EKG is a quick and painless test that records the electrical activity of your heart. It helps identify issues like irregular heartbeat, heart damage, or signs of a heart attack.

How we help

EKG monitoring tests are done in the comfort of most of our VIPcare clinics for your convenience. They are fast, safe, and provide us with important information about your heart.

Your Imaging Services Questions Answered

What is diagnostic imaging?

Medical imaging uses machines ultrasounds or EKGs to take pictures of the inside of your body. It helps doctors see what’s going on and find problems early.

Is imaging safe?

Yes. Some use a small amount of radiation, like X-rays or CT scans, but it’s carefully controlled. Others, like ultrasounds or MRIs, don’t use any radiation at all.

What are some common imaging tests for seniors?

Common imaging tests include:

  • X-rays – often used to check for broken bones or chest and lung issues
  • Ultrasounds – helpful for pregnancy, abdominal problems, and checking blood flow
  • CT scans – detailed images to look for things like internal injuries, infections, or tumors
  • MRIs – used to see soft tissues like the brain, spine, and joints

At VIPcare, your provider will recommend the test that gives the clearest picture of your health.

Do I have to go to another office for imaging?

Some imaging may be done at VIPcare clinics, depending on your location and the test you need. If not, we’ll help you schedule it with a trusted nearby partner.

How do I prepare for my imaging appointments?

Before your imaging test, we’ll give you clear instructions based on the type of scan you're having. Some tests may require you not to eat or drink for a few hours. Others might ask you to wear comfortable clothes or avoid certain medications.
