Celebrating National Women’s Physician Day with VIPcare

Celebrating National Women’s Physician Day with VIPcare

National Women’s Physician Day is a time to recognize and celebrate the dedication, expertise, and invaluable contributions of women in medicine. Observed annually on February 3rd, this day honors the legacy of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman in the United States to earn a medical degree in 1849. Her groundbreaking achievement paved the way for future generations of women to pursue careers in medicine, overcoming barriers and reshaping healthcare.

“I think that everybody has their path in life,” said Sangeeta Hans, M.D., Chief Quality Officer for Better Health Group and VIPcare. “My path was not a path most people take. It wasn’t something I was born wanting to do. It was something I knew later on in life that it was my calling.”

At VIPcare, we are proud to stand alongside the many incredible women physicians, such as Dr. Hans, who bring skill, compassion, and innovation to patient care. These physicians not only provide high-quality medical expertise but also serve as mentors, leaders, and advocates for their patients and communities.

Empowering Women in Medicine

The presence of women in healthcare has grown tremendously over the years, with more female physicians entering the field than ever before. Despite past challenges, women continue to make significant strides in leadership, research, and patient advocacy, strengthening the medical profession as a whole.

“Anytime in life that you want to do something, you have to do it,” said Dr. Hans. “…you just have to find your voice, your confidence, and put your best foot forward.”

VIPcare recognizes the unique strengths that women bring to healthcare. Their ability to foster meaningful connections with patients, provide compassionate care, and approach medicine with a holistic perspective enhances the quality of care delivered. Women physicians play a crucial role in ensuring that patients feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their healthcare journeys.

The VIPcare Difference: Supporting Women Physicians

At VIPcare, we prioritize an environment that empowers women physicians to thrive. Our commitment to quality over quantity ensures that every provider has the time, resources, and support needed to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. With our model, physicians can focus on what truly matters—building relationships, emphasizing preventative care, and guiding patients toward better health.

In addition to fostering strong patient-provider relationships, VIPcare supports the professional growth and work-life balance of women physicians. We understand that a fulfilling career in medicine should not come at the expense of personal well-being. Through mentorship, leadership opportunities, and a collaborative work culture, VIPcare provides a foundation for women physicians to excel in their careers while maintaining a healthy and sustainable work-life balance.

“We are knowledgeable, we are multitaskers, no matter what anybody says,” laughed Dr. Hans. “Because you can’t hold a baby, cook dinner, and read a book, but a female can.”

Celebrating Women Physicians Today and Every Day

National Women’s Physician Day is an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in medicine and to celebrate the achievements of the remarkable women physicians who continue to shape the future of healthcare. At VIPcare, we are honored to have dedicated women leading the way in providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Their contributions extend beyond the exam room—inspiring future generations, advancing medical research, and advocating for better healthcare outcomes. Through their expertise, empathy, and leadership, women physicians are redefining what it means to deliver quality care.

As we celebrate National Women’s Physician Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the women in medicine who dedicate their lives to improving the health and well-being of their patients. Their resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment make a lasting impact on healthcare.

To all the women physicians at VIPcare and beyond—thank you for all that you do. Today, we celebrate you!
