About Me
Alana Rogers, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who is passionate about building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. She earned her degree from Auburn University and comes from a family deeply rooted in nursing. While growing up, both of Alana’s parents worked in nursing, and her older sister is now a nurse practitioner—making caring for others feel like second nature and naturally guiding her toward a career in primary care. She finds the greatest fulfillment in getting to know her patients, earning their trust, and making a real difference in their everyday health—whether that means managing chronic conditions, promoting wellness, or helping patients navigate life’s challenges. Alana believes patients feel empowered when they know their provider truly understands them. She takes the time to create personalized care plans that align with each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and unique circumstances—meeting patients where they are, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two stepsons. She also loves cooking, traveling, boating, and relaxing with a good thriller novel.

Essential Sun Safety Tips for Older Adults
Summer brings longer days, warmer temperatures, and more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you're spending time with family, gardening, walking in the neighborhood, or attending community events, it's important to take steps to protect your health in the sun.

Skin Cancer in Older Adults: Types and Risks
Skin cancer in older adults refers to the abnormal growth of skin cells that often develops after years of cumulative sun exposure, natural aging changes in the skin, and a weakened immune system. It is one of the most common cancers in the United States, and older adults are especially at risk because skin damage builds over a lifetime. While the condition can sound alarming, most skin cancers are highly treatable when detected early.
