Angelica Roman, M.D.

Dr. Angelica Roman is a primary care physician with a specialty in general practice. She is originally from Puerto Rico, where she grew up in a hospital setting, with both parents being registered nurses. “Both of my parents have a big heart,” Dr. Roman said. “I learned from them the meaning of humility, compassion, respect, and empathy. Since I was a child, I always wanted to be a doctor.” She attended the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic for medical school and completed her internship rotation at San Lucas Hospital in Guayama Puerto Rico. As a physician, she enjoys introducing good health to her patients through exercise and good habits. Dr. Roman says she finds it rewarding to see her patients better and happy from her service and staff. “The satisfaction of knowing that my patient left my office better than when they came in and helping them with lifestyle changes,” she said, is what she enjoys most about practicing medicine. When Dr. Roman isn’t in the clinic, she can be found exploring what all Florida has to offer. She moved to Florida with her husband, who is also a primary care provider, and their two children.
