About Me
Dr. Diana Roman is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University and her medical degree from the University of Miami. She completed her residency at Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, Florida. Dr. Roman believes that great care goes beyond treating illness—it’s about understanding each patient’s story, their challenges, and the environment that shapes their health. Guided by both her professional training and her faith, she sees medicine as an opportunity to serve others with compassion, purpose, and integrity. She has a particular passion for caring for seniors, approaching each patient with patience, consistency, and a deep commitment to building trust. Her care philosophy centers on personalized, preventive medicine. Rather than simply managing symptoms, Dr. Roman focuses on uncovering and addressing the root causes of health concerns. She incorporates lifestyle and nutrition into tailored care plans and partners closely with patients to develop thoughtful, long-term strategies that support overall wellness. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and church community. She also loves dancing, exercising, and studying the Bible.

Skin Cancer in Older Adults: Types and Risks
Skin cancer in older adults refers to the abnormal growth of skin cells that often develops after years of cumulative sun exposure, natural aging changes in the skin, and a weakened immune system. It is one of the most common cancers in the United States, and older adults are especially at risk because skin damage builds over a lifetime. While the condition can sound alarming, most skin cancers are highly treatable when detected early.

Benefits of Socialization in Older Adults
Humans are naturally social beings. Meaningful relationships and regular interaction with others help support emotional, mental, and physical health throughout every stage of life. For older adults, staying socially connected becomes even more important for maintaining independence, happiness, and overall well-being.
