About Me
Dr. Marietta Ongay is a board-certified family medicine physician, with more than 38 years of experience practicing medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Puerto Rico, followed by her medical degree from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. She completed her residency at Universidad Central del Caribe. Drawn to medicine because it reflects her core values of compassion, fairness, and trust, Dr. Ongay is dedicated to building long-term relationships with her patients. She believes healthcare should start with listening. By showing empathy, treating with respect, and providing evidence-based care, she empowers patients to take charge of their health and make informed choices. She focuses on prevention, education, and individualized care—assessing each patient’s unique risk factors to promote lifelong wellness. In her free time, she enjoys staying active through outdoor cycling and yoga. She also loves experimenting with new recipes and spending time with family and friends.
