About Me
Dr. Sonia Ibarra Arias is a compassionate physician with more than 20 years of experience in general medicine. She earned her medical degree from Libre University in Colombia. Dr. Ibarra Arias’s passion for medicine began at a young age. Growing up with a father who was a pharmacist, she was often surrounded by patients and medications. Watching him care for members of their community showed her the meaningful impact healthcare professionals can have on people’s lives. That early exposure sparked a deep interest in medicine and a desire to follow a path where she could serve others. Dr. Ibarra Arias believes that strong patient relationships are at the heart of good care. She focuses on listening closely to her patients and creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable discussing their health concerns. Her approach is centered on compassion, commitment, and patient-centered care. She is especially passionate about working with seniors and helping them stay healthy and independent. Dr. Ibarra Arias emphasizes preventive care through patient education, early detection of health issues, and lifestyle changes that support long-term wellness. She enjoys empowering her patients to take an active role in their health while continually expanding her own knowledge to provide the best care possible. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing with her family, reading, watching movies, and exploring creative home decor ideas.
