About Me
Cynthia Humenic is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in adult-gerontology. She earned her APRN degree from Walden University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Georgia State University. Cynthia was inspired to enter healthcare because she wanted to save lives and make a meaningful difference in the well-being of others. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on improving patient outcomes by shifting the focus from reactive “sick care” to proactive, preventive wellness. She believes that the key to high-quality care is time—time to listen, time to build trust, and time to truly understand each patient’s physical and emotional needs. Leveraging VIPcare’s unique model, Cynthia utilizes extended appointment times to perform comprehensive screenings, identify potential health risks early, and develop personalized care plans. She is known for her ability to build strong, lasting relationships with her patients by listening attentively and treating each individual like family. Her partnership-driven approach empowers patients through continuous education, coordinated support, and compassionate guidance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog Luna, listening to live music, and taking walks on the beach.

Skin Cancer in Older Adults: Types and Risks
Skin cancer in older adults refers to the abnormal growth of skin cells that often develops after years of cumulative sun exposure, natural aging changes in the skin, and a weakened immune system. It is one of the most common cancers in the United States, and older adults are especially at risk because skin damage builds over a lifetime. While the condition can sound alarming, most skin cancers are highly treatable when detected early.
