VIPcare is growing! We currently have over 70 providers across 55 locations. Meet one of our newest providers, Dr. Atiyeh Atiyeh. He is currently seeing patients at our new Brandon primary care clinic full-time.
Dr. Atiyeh comes to VIPcare with much experience as a primary care physician, working in both private practice and emergency medicine settings. He shares our mission and dedication to his patients – always striving to go above and beyond.
Who is Dr. Atiyeh?
Dr. Atiyeh is originally from Palestine but was born in Puerto Rico. He spent much of his childhood going between the two countries. And because of this, he became fluent in three languages: Arabic, English, and Spanish.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and his doctorate in medicine from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Atiyeh credits his mother as being his motivator to become a doctor. She was a practicing nurse prior to getting married and starting a family. And although he never got to see his mother working, he shared her reason and passion for wanting a career in medicine – to help others.
“For me to be a doctor is very rewarding,” he said. “I am taking care of the most valuable quality people have, their health. I love to be the one making positive changes or impacts in their lives.”
Dr. Atiyeh appreciates the trust his patients have in him and his ability to help them achieve a better and healthier life. He strives to be compassionate and to take the necessary time to listen and help his patients.
“Sadly, a lot of good qualities in medicine have been lost with time,” he said. “VIPcare is a great fit for me due to the independence given to doctors, and I can take my time to listen and enjoy sharing with my patient even on non-medical topics, which makes me know them better. Deeper understanding of a concern gives a more accurate, successful treatment.”
