Dr. Berenice Colon is a primary care physician specializing in Family Medicine. She attended medical school at the University of Science, Arts and Technology and completed her internship at the Hospital Manati Medical Center in Puerto Rico.
After witnessing first-hand the expertise of her grandfather’s medical team, who helped him beat the odds, Dr. Colon knew she was destined to be a doctor. “Being a doctor means you get to make a big difference in people’s lives,” she said. “Every patient you meet adds a new chapter to your life story. You get to be part of their stories, and they become part of yours.”
Dr. Colon received the President’s Call to Service Award in 2017 for her extraordinary assistance during Hurricane María and her community volunteer contributions, totaling more than 4,000 hours.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, dancing, traveling, and baking traditional Puerto Rican desserts.
