Dr. Joseph Sassano is a primary care physician and board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. He attended Ohio State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeast Missouri State University with a bachelor’s in biology. He completed his Doctorate of Osteopathy at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and finished his internship at Southeast College of Osteopathy.
Dr. Sassano has held many positions throughout his clinical career, including Medical Director at Sarasota Immediate Care. He is an active member of several osteopathic and allopathic medical societies and is currently serving as president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Society District 7, which includes Sarasota and Manatee counties.
In his free time, he enjoys anything to do with the beach and ocean, as well as running, biking, a tiny bit of golf, drawing, and traveling with his wife and son.
