Richard Schafer, D.O.

Dr. Richard Schafer is a board-certified Family Medicine specialist with over 30 years of experience. He attended medical school at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served as Chief Intern at OSU Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.

Before becoming a family physician, Dr. Schafer earned his veterinary science degree and has been a practicing veterinarian for 55 years.

As a provider, Dr. Schafer enjoys being able to make a difference in his patients’ lives. He received the Fellow Award from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in 2005 and was named Rookie Physician of the Year in 1995 by the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, tending to cattle, and spending time with his family.
