Living well begins with a healthy heart, and when it comes to treating your cardiovascular system, you deserve the best. At VIPcare, we provide comprehensive, personalized care for patients with heart and vascular conditions.
Heart and vascular, commonly referred to as cardiovascular diseases, are conditions or complications that affect the heart’s structure and/or function. Vascular conditions specifically refer to the blood vessels (arteries) and veins responsible for the circulation system outside the heart.
Some of the most common heart and vascular conditions treated include:
At VIPcare, we offer comprehensive care for patients with a variety of cardiac (heart) and vascular (artery and vein) conditions. Heart and vascular treatments can vary depending on the complexity of your heart condition. Some of the available cardiovascular services available at our clinics include:
EKG – An electrocardiogram (also known as EKG and ECG) checks for problems with the electrical activity of the heart. An electrocardiogram is performed for the following reasons: to evaluate possible symptoms of heart disease, to determine the cause of unexplained chest pressure or pain, to monitor mechanical devices implanted in the heart to make sure they are working effectively, to evaluate medication effectiveness for side effects might affect the heart, to check the health of the heart when other conditions or disease are present, diabetes, smoking, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure.
Echocardiogram – An echocardiogram is a cardiac ultrasound that helps you evaluate the condition of your heart. This diagnostic test creates a detailed heart image that detects any abnormalities you might have in your structure.
Venous Doppler – A venous doppler diagnostic test is an ultrasound that creates a picture of your blood flow by using sound waves. During the test, our specialists will apply a gel over the extremity that needs to be examined, and a small device that produces sound waves will be pushed against the skin to record the images. This test is commonly used for people with varicose veins to search for blood clots.
Arterial Doppler – An arterial doppler ultrasound bounces high-frequency sound waves off circulating blood cells to estimate the blood flow through your blood vessels. This test can help diagnose poorly functioning valves, circulation problems, blood clots, and blocked arteries. The test generally takes less than an hour and is noninvasive.
