Dr. Yuvienco has over 35 years of experience practicing medicine and he believes he is exactly where he should be and practicing how he should – focusing on quality.
Who is Dr. Christopher Yuvienco?
For many it can take years or several career changes to finally figure out what they are truly destined to do. That certainly wasn’t the case for Dr. Christopher Yuvienco. Going into the medical field and becoming a physician was “in his veins” he said.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Dr. Yuvienco grew up watching both of his parents practice medicine. They were both physicians and helped steer him in the direction of a career in medicine. “It all started with my parents,” he said. “I followed in their footsteps.”
He received his medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay in Quezon City, Philippines, and completed his residency in internal medicine.
Dr. Yuvienco moved to the states to practice medicine and opened a private practice in Cape Coral, FL. “I focus more on their health and preventative care,” Dr. Yuvienco said about caring for his patients.
That’s why when the opportunity to join the VIPcare family presented itself to him, Dr. Yuvienco was ready for the change of pace.
“VIPcare has a different model,” he said. “They focus more on quality. My previous practice was geared toward volume and fee-for-service. I wanted to slow down my pace and spend more time with the patients.”
When Dr. Yuvienco isn’t in the office he enjoys spending time with his three daughters who are all in the medical field as well. He also enjoys shallow bay fishing and gardening – two activities that help him slow down and relax.
