VIPcare St. Cloud is growing! We are excited to introduce you to one of the newest primary care physicians in our St. Cloud clinic, Dr. Jack Davidoff. We’re thrilled to have Dr. Davidoff join us as part of our St. Cloud care team.
He is triple board-certified and has over 40 years of experience and knowledge in family and emergency medicine.
Who is Dr. Jack Davidoff?
Dr. Davidoff always had an interest in medicine, but it wasn’t family medicine or even emergency medicine for that matter that caught his attention in the beginning. While in high school, Dr. Davidoff believed veterinary medicine was the medical path he would explore. But after working with a local ambulance service during his teens, he quickly realized he wanted to work with people and shifted gears.
Dr. Davidoff went on to become an EMT and began his career in emergency medical services. He thrived in emergency medicine but made the realization that as a physician, he could do so much more to help his patients.
“Honestly, the show Emergency played a huge role in my being involved with EMS and later going to medical school,” he said.
Upon his realization, Dr. Davidoff earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. He spent his third year of school in the United Kingdom, which he credits to providing him with a different perspective on medicine that continues to help and influence how he practices today.
A Man with Many Titles and Specialties
Dr. Davidoff is board-certified in family, emergency, and disaster medicine. And he has used those certifications to serve many positions and titles over the years, including being an EMS Captain, Chief Medical Director, and even a Mobile Track Physician for an international speedway.
He is the past president of the Air Medical Physicians Association, the largest group of air and critical care transport physicians in the world, and the only organization solely dedicated to representing the subspecialty practice. While a member of the organization, Dr. Davidoff received the Air Medical Physician Association Distinguished Physician Award and the Air Medical Physician Association Medical Director of the Year. Two awards he said he’s the proudest of. “We are a very small group that is involved in Air Medicine throughout the world, and to be recognized by my peers really means a lot to me!”
